DWA Green Initiative
Nov 08, 2011
Carmel, IN--DWA Healthcare Communications Group, including its affiliated companies CME Enterprise and Avant Healthcare Marketing, has ramped up its DWA Green Initiative, which kicked off in August 2011. The company is on course to hit full implementation of the program by January 2012.
"As a company, we've always been environmentally aware and did the basics like: reduce, reuse, recycle," said Ryan Crumley, Fulfillment, Facilities, and Hospitality Manager. "However, over the past few months we've really raised the bar from Green-conscious to Green-committed. We now have a formal DWA Green Initiative and can show significant environmental savings."
The DWA Green Initiative is a sweeping approach to green business practices that will expand the company's current policies, minimize its environmental footprint, and save costs. Aspects of the initiative include the complete elimination of Styrofoam cups and paper plates and increasing the use of recycled printing paper, inks, and Energy Star products.
The DWA Green Initiative also establishes partnerships with organizations and charities where opportunities exist to maximize impact, such as Teachers' Treasure, a nonprofit organization that provides teachers with school supplies for at-risk children.
"In this way, the DWA Green Initiative aligns very naturally with DWA CARES, our overarching program of service to our community," said Deborah Wood, President and CEO. "With both, we're fulfilling our desire to lead by example. The rewards to our company and our community are far-reaching and represent our commitment to being environmentally engaged."
DWA Healthcare Communications Group, along with its affiliated companies, provides full-service healthcare education and marketing solutions for the medical, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical industries.
