The Rewards of a Being a Renaissance Man

It’s hard to categorize Jeff Sears. He started at DWA on August 13, 2007, and DWA sought just the right place for him, as he was a good fit for lots of places. His first role was as an account manager. Then he was promoted to Business Development Director. And now he’s in his element as Strategic Account Director for Global Programs. Whatever he does, he aims for the “Wow!” factor. And he has very good aim.

One of his favorite “Wow!” activities is the Employee Awards Program, one of the projects he is responsible for as a member of the DWA Planning Committee. Staff members nominate each other for the awards in a number of categories that recognize creativity, exceptional client service, teamwork, precision, and DWA values, among others. For the colleague-to-colleague recognition factor alone, the awards are deeply cherished.

Since moving to the global team, Jeff’s on the road a lot and now has a writing team to assist him with generating ideas for the awards program. It’s something he can’t give up. He’s having too much fun. But he’s enjoying his role on the global team as well. As one of the strategic account directors for global programs, Jeff works with clients to develop strategies and executable events to support the client’s key messages on the global stage. He develops proposals that match client needs with DWA services. In his unofficial role as a multitalented media producer, he  was  also  instrumental  in  the  development  of  the  Avant Media Manager©, a turnkey solution for keeping presentations convenient, current, and compliant.

Jeff uses two words to encapsulate the DWA experience: functional and synergy.

“Everyone here has a role, and you’re the functional expert within that role. There’s synergy. As a whole, we accomplish a lot more. Everything we need to be successful is under one roof.”
